About Us
Δiagraph was spawned by the previous expierences as a music publisher of the Dutch-English novelist, Geert Kliphuis. At the time, being a singer-songwriter – which he still is, aka Jay Conrad – producing his second album, Steeltown Girls (Arcade, 1999), he became aware of the neccesity of being an independent and 'emancipated' recording artist – and this was before the Internet revolution when everyone became an emancipated recording artist. That's when Swing Boss Music (member of SABAM, Belgium) was founded.
In a similar vein, during the 2010/2011 demo-sessions of Carrizo Springs, his Spanish album, based on the poetry of Raquel Lanseros, Kliphuis proposed to promote her work outside the Hispanic realm. Then Arthur Signe came along with his great novel, 17 rue de Belfast – and an little agency ('una agencita') initiated the throes of giving birth, hardly able to disguise its pleasure at the Spanish predominance.
Δiagraph aims at remaining small: time has become a precious commodity. Updating newsletters come every month.
Now,Δiagraph Books is being founded: a multi-lingual Brussels-based publisher (English, Dutch, Spanish & French).
